For SidFest 2027
Play at SidFest
Every year the bill mixes national headliners and up-and-coming bands. The band contest gives local bands a chance to win their place on the festival stage.
The 2027 contest
The selections are played live at the Espace Gentiana in Tours in spring 2027 (dates announced in the newsletter). Bands shortlisted on application play a 25-minute set in front of the jury and the audience; the winners open a night of SidFest 2027.
Open to bands from the Centre-Val de Loire region playing their own songs.
What we look for
- A live video, even shot on a phone: the stage matters more than the studio.
- Original songs (tribute bands are booked outside the contest).
- A band ready to play a 40-minute set.
- Every application is listened to and rated by the programming team, and gets an answer.
