Terms of sale
Tickets, tokens, festival access and the shop: SidFest’s house rules.
These terms of sale apply to SidFest tickets, bar and food tokens and items from the online shop. The festival is organised by the Rock Style association, a French non-profit (RNA W372004417, SIREN 497 925 123), 17 allée des Rogareaux, 37190 Azay-le-Rideau, holder of the live-entertainment licences PLATESV-R-2023-000185 and PLATESV-D-2023-000335. Buying a ticket, tokens or an item means accepting these terms.
1. Tickets
Tickets are sold online exclusively on HelloAsso, the payment platform for associations, whose terms of use also apply, and, while places last, at the festival box office. Prices are in euros, all taxes included. At checkout HelloAsso suggests a voluntary contribution to its running costs: it is optional, can be changed (down to €0) and does not go to the festival.
Reduced prices (under 12) are granted on proof of age at the entrance. Otherwise the difference with the full door price is charged.
The e-ticket is emailed after payment. It carries a unique code valid for one entry only: only the first person showing it gets in. Do not share or copy it. The festival cannot be held responsible for a ticket that is lost, copied or bought from a third party.
2. Resale and exchange
Tickets can be neither taken back, exchanged nor refunded, except in the cases set out in article 5. Under article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, there is no withdrawal right for tickets to an event on a set date.
Habitually reselling tickets without the organiser’s permission is forbidden and punishable by a €15,000 fine (article 313-6-2 of the French Penal Code). Don’t buy tickets on social media or from strangers: there are many scams, and a ticket that has already been used or copied won’t get you in.
3. Access to the festival
- Entry is on presentation of the ticket (on a phone or printed) and, on request, an ID.
- For everyone’s safety, pat-downs and bag searches may take place at the entrance. Anyone refusing them will be refused entry.
- Forbidden on site: weapons and dangerous objects, glass bottles, cans, outside food and drinks, illegal substances, fireworks and flares, selfie sticks, professional recording equipment without accreditation, animals (except assistance dogs).
- Leaving the site is final, unless the team says otherwise.
- Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No alcohol is served to under-18s.
- The festival may refuse entry to, or remove without refund, anyone obviously drunk, or behaving in a violent, discriminatory, sexist or dangerous way, or not following the instructions of the team and security staff.
4. Health and safety
The festival plays amplified music at high volume. Earplugs are available on site; they are strongly recommended, and ear defenders are compulsory for children. Moshing, stage diving and circle pits are at your own risk. A first-aid post is open for the whole festival.
5. Changes, postponement or cancellation
The line-up is announced subject to change. The cancellation or replacement of one or more bands, or a change of times, does not entitle you to a refund.
If the organiser cancels the whole festival, tickets are refunded at their purchase price, excluding the voluntary contribution to HelloAsso, to the payment method used, within 30 days. If the festival is postponed, tickets remain valid for the new dates; those who cannot come are refunded on request within the period given when the postponement is announced. The festival being stopped midway because of force majeure (bad weather, official decision, security incident) does not entitle you to a refund.
6. Bar and food tokens
On site, food and drinks are paid with tokens (1 token = €1), bought at the festival box office or in advance on HelloAsso. Books of tokens bought in advance are collected at the dedicated desk on presentation of the purchase confirmation. Tokens are only valid during the edition they were bought for; they can be neither refunded nor exchanged, except if the whole festival is cancelled.
7. Image
The festival is photographed and filmed by the team and by accredited media. By entering the site, festival-goers are informed that they may appear in these images, used for the festival’s communication (website, social media, posters, aftermovie), without compensation. Anyone who does not want to appear in a published picture can ask for it to be removed through the contact form. Recording the concerts for commercial purposes is forbidden without permission.
8. Online shop
Products and prices. Items are described as accurately as possible; pictures are not contractual. Prices are in euros, including taxes where applicable, excluding delivery, while stocks last.
Order and payment. No account is needed: basket, contact details, acceptance of these terms, then confirmation. Orders are paid by bank transfer (with the order reference) or on site at the merch stand, and prepared once payment is received. An order not paid within 15 days may be cancelled.
Delivery. Mainland France: €5.90, free from €60. Shipped within 7 working days after payment, with a tracking number. Free pickup at the merch stand during the festival is also possible.
Right of withdrawal. You have 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). Let us know through the contact form, then send the items back new, unworn and in their original condition; return costs are yours. The refund, including the initial delivery costs, is made within 14 days of receiving the return.
Warranties. Items are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code). A faulty item is exchanged or refunded.
9. Liability
Everyone remains responsible for their belongings. The festival accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage on site or in the car parks. Lost property is kept for one month: contact us to collect it. Anyone causing damage to the facilities, equipment or other people is liable for it.
10. Personal data
Information collected during a purchase is used to manage the order, festival access and, where applicable, refunds. It is never sold. Details of the processing and your rights are in the privacy policy.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, first contact the association through the contact form: we always look for an amicable solution. You can also use a consumer mediator free of charge [mediator details to be completed], or the European online dispute resolution platform. Failing an agreement, the competent courts are those of the association’s registered office, subject to consumer protection rules.
