Formed in Paris in 1989 around singer Reuno, Lofofora takes its name from peyote (Lophophora williamsii). It is considered one of the pioneers of metal fusion in France, with its distorted guitars, rapped delivery and punk outbursts.
Signed to Polygram in 1994, the band has released eleven studio albums, the latest in 2024, and its lyrics remain highly political.
